Trying to stay sober is hard

You have to make a decision to stay sober and stick to it stubbornly. It feels like a punishment at first but it’s actually your freedom.

I keep trying and failing

Stay strong. Just today.

I've already messed up

No it's not. It's pretty simple. Just out of your own way.

I'm so tired of people saying its not hard! It is!!!! Its very hard!!

It is hard but not impossible...1 day at a time progress not perfect...keep going its worth it

Charlie, for me trying to stay high and drunk became way harder than staying sober. Working the program of AA with a sponsor and other recovering addicts made sobriety way easier. These are simply facts for me.
I’m here if you want to talk or have any questions

Start tomorrow. Every clean day is better than none. I’m in no position to give advice. I’ve only not imbibed since the day after Christmas.

I tried and failed for months. Each time you get stronger just like working any muscle. Don’t let it define you, each attempt is another lesson. I had to distance myself from my triggers by finding out what they are.

That 1st week is a massive hurdle, and having that perspective already is going to take you far. I’ve been at this 6 years, and I can tell you that while the early days are tough, they don't last forever. You’re doing the heavy lifting right now. So proud of you for sticking it out.

It is hard but it's worth it

Focus on today. One day at a time. Easy does. Wake up ask your Higher Power to keep you clean today. Go to bed thanking that Power. Apply the 'KISS method. Keep It Simple Stupid. Don't spent time in your head without adult supervision. Go go go to meetings and get phone numbers and share

Staying sober is very hard until you reach that place in your life when it takes so much from you that you realize that if you don’t commit hard to sobriety now (with help from others) addiction will take everything you have from you (family and friends too). You CAN do this and rebuild your life and it will be SO much better on the other side. Keep trying and never give up!

Get to a meering

Failed a few times myself but one week in and I’m determined. We are all on here for same reason to help each other fight

I hit that point and that’s what my driving force to stop drinking is
