Trying to stop weed has proven to be difficult for me ugh

It’s was difficult for me too, I stopped years ago. I use to smoke pretty much all day everyday aside from when I was at work I was never high. I got to the point where I knew it was too much and my head was so clouded. Tried to smoke again 5 plus years ago and it gave me a very bad trip and haven’t touch it since. Same thing happens to me with alcohol I knew I needed to stop I want to experience life clear headed.

I feel ya. Weed is my jam too. I’m on day 206 without it. The first few weeks were rough. I’ve learned to sleep, eat, shower, watch movies, listen to music, etc without it. Smoking weed was my way of dealing with life. The truth was it was preventing me from dealing with life. I was so stuck. I hadn’t grown emotionally in years. My problems (money, relationships, mental health etc) we’re just piling up. As much as I miss it sometimes, I’m so happy to be free. Recovery hasn’t been easy, but it’s been amazing. I work a daily 12 step program. I couldn’t do it alone. I suggest you try and plug into one as well.
