Grateful for good resources especially GODs word, strength and love. Grateful for another day, my job that gave me a much needed and unexpected salary increase (praise the Lord) my partner, my Dogs
and the roof over my head. God is good!
Same here! We’re close!
Yes!! We have the same sober anniversary LOL congratulations! We got this!!

Hard work, paying off. Keep it up.
In the beginning of our journey into sobriety time passes so slow. Ughh!
I can definitely relate.
The first year is the slowest. I think it's because we're used to numbing the pain of life with alcohol and or drugs.
Hopefully you're not going about this alone. I don't know what your plan of recovery is but if it's Alcoholics Anonymous the best thing you can do is get to as many meetings as possible. Get a sponsor that will take you through the steps. This is the quickest way to start feeling relief.
Other than that we're just beating our heads against the wall. Congratulations on your time thus far. Be prepared because sooner or later you will have a desire to drink again and you need to have a plan of action.
Watch out for the big lie that addiction tells us; that this time, everything will be okay. But it never is, is it?
The good news is that although life doesn't really get easier, we get better at handling life one day at a time without picking up a drink or using whatever our addiction was. It really does get better.
The battle does get easier though. I can guarantee that! It. Does. Get. Easier! Keep adding tools to your tool belt! And don’t forget to UTILIZE YOUR RESOURCES! I literally flew out to Vegas to go to rehab (from Virginia Beach)! No *ish, a few of thē BEST meetings I have EVER attended were there in Sin City. Just think about it. THE NEED IS THERE! Recovery is STUPID STRONG out there in Vegas! If you really want it and actually take the action to seek it out, you won’t have to go far. For this grateful alcoholic in the fellowship (12 stepper) AA is an acronym for ACTION! ACTION!
now get to it and keep it up you sober BAs!!
REMEMBER!! A truly grateful alcoholic don’t:non-potable_water:drink:exclamation:
