Have you traveled anywhere this spring/summer? If so, where did you go, and do you feel the area is sober-friendly?

I haven’t traveled anywhere. But I moved to Menomonie Wisconsin about 5 months ago. I’m originally from Rockford Illinois. The change in atmosphere is amazing.

I went to Cape Cod like I do, yearly. Camped there, rode my bike, surfed. Alcohol free is easy there

I traveled to North Myrtle beach, I did meetings every day.

I'm glad the new environment is much better! Just out of curiosity: what makes it better? I was born and raised in WI; so, to hear WI is better than another area for those in sobriety is shocking for me. Not saying that anything is wrong--just shocking is all. Lol. I'd love to hear more.
It's pretty cool you attended meetings daily. What else did you do that was sober-friendly while you were there.

Because I came here from Rockford Illinois. I lived there my entire life. It was time for a change. It had nothing left to offer me. I believe that the people are more friendly here.

I walked a lot, went to the beach, read a lot, Skateboarded

We travel a lot to state parks and waterfalls, camp when we go to Florida we skip the beach stuff and go to the bay or to natural springs. My kids enjoy it way more than the fast paced bigger scene where it’s party town
