Waking up this morning

3 weeks sober today with a goal of making this last a life time. Grateful for my kids, home, job, and my higher power and everything I have that keeps me motivated to do better everyday

@kenna492743 :tada::tada: CONGRATULATIONS :tada::tada: on your 22 days of sobriety.

It is possible to attain long term sobriety. I've been sober for the past 37+ consecutive years with no regrets. When you break it down I've been sober for over half my life. I thank God, my higher power, for being there every step of the way.

I've worked my entire career of 37 years sober. I wouldn't want it any other way. I've seen first hand what alcohol does to an individual, a family, a career and the community.

Some may say that drinking, clubbing, sport phuqing is fun. Yet is it? You come to hungover trying to remember what happened the night before, whose bed I'm in let alone who is in my bed yet worse "GAWD I better not get pregnant" or "GAWD I hope I didn't knock her up".

All it takes is one day at a time and working a solid recovery program. If I and countless others can get sober and have long term sobriety then you can as well. Any fool can stop drinking and stay dry. However it takes a special someone to get sober, stay sober, work an effective program and attain long term sobriety.

Again if I can do it so can you.
