Wanting to fit in with the fellowship. It’s all good

Wanting to fit in with the fellowship. It’s all good though it will take time. I want to stay so the long it takes the more work it is that’s my pace slow and steady.

I’ll share what was told to me. Go to AA/NA meetings, get a sponsor, join a home group. These steps have allowed me to connect with people who get me/us. Keep coming back, it works!

13 months in. It’s going to be a slow and steady process. Enjoy the meeting the speaker meeting connection to woman in recovery is a work in progress.
Thank you for your response. Simple and doing just that eliminates all the stress from the old self.

Slow is more likely to last. God doesn’t care about speed and quantity but keep a pace that works for you and it’s ok to rest and to give yourself time to digest what comes at us so quickly sometimes has to be chewed after we’ve swallowed chunks of life whole in the thick of the moment. But there is a fine line between resting on our laurels and not continuing to make progress. It’s not always easy but it’s worth it. And you certainly are worth it too. It will become easier at times but normally recovery has peaks and valleys. Thank goodness we are not alone. Be blessed. I am sure you can find what you need by going through not around difficulties! :love_you_gesture::rose::pray::sun_with_face::heart:

Right on! Going through not around. Packing your self not racing yourself. Did all that rat racing back in the day! Now it’s all about even flow and consistency. Peace be unto you bro.

Thank you stasis🤟

Tasia, sorry but maybe we ARE talking about stasis?!?! Lol! That was a typo and I didn’t reread before I hit send.

No worries

Unless we don’t change; that’s stasis, and we are sick people, Lol. Obviously one symptom for me is overthinking.

Tasia, we have to learn a lot about ourselves in sobriety… keep going to meetings and try to feel what the other members are saying instead of just listening.. healing and growth both live in that space… Keith Kayle

Being apart of recovery in all its forms is where real growth comes reality.
It’s so beautiful to be apart of something greater then I.
