*was* 2 years sober…

I’d quit drinking for 2 years. I felt AMAZING. Then was really hit hard by the death of my cat. She was so special to me. Starting up again in April. At first it was 1 drink every 10 days or so. Over the past 2 weeks I’m mostly back to daily drinking. Luckily I’m a light weight so it’s only a couple drinks a day but I really want/need to get back to ZERO drinks a day!

I know I can do this since I did it before, but for some reason this time seems a bit harder.

I’m new to this app. If anyone has any favorite videos or places in the app I should check out I’d love the support.

Glad you knew where to go for support! Always recommend in person meetings if possible.

Exact same thing happened to me a couple years ago. Got a kitten that died of leukemia and relapsed that day and couldn’t go more than a week without relapsing until I just fully spun out back into my addiction. You’ll make it through 🫶🏾

I recommend the book 'Alan Carr's quit drinking without willpower'. It has helped me change my life.

Loosid is amazing.
We get sober one day at a time.
Getting emotionally sober may take years, decades even, but every single action taken today in hopes of a better future is valuable

Also I wanted to add that if you’re a visual learner it might be helpful to track your journey using the tracker in the app.
