Was almost fired today

I was extremely lucky that I was not fired from my job earlier today...truth be told my boss had every right to but I'm glad she is giving me another chance.

But just the fact that happened today really shows me the bottom that I'm hitting and that I've got to get my s*it together.

Unless you take action it usually gets worse, never better.

Getting to the point where I was barely able to function and stay awake at work was part of my rock bottom. It got really bad but is now getting better. I finally had to seek medical help and it turned me 180. Good luck

Take it one day at a time. Josh just keep doing the next right thing and the next right thing will happen. I’m proud of you brother.

I don't know what your situation is. But for my extreme alchol abuse I went to the urgent care to help with withdrawal. They gave me an ativan IV then put me on Librium to help with withdrawal symptoms and avoid a seizure. I was able to stop drinking the 1st day on medication without any serious withdrawal issues.

Thanks Troy. I appreciate the support

My pleasure brother

Alcoholism is progressive. It only gets worse with time. It's also an allergic reaction to alcohol that creates and maintains the craving. You may need some treatment intervention depending on how allergic you are and withdrawal symptoms. But if you're noticing it now, do yourself a favor and get on it. It only gets worse unfortunately.

Don't sell yourself short or get slept on bro

One more slip up and I’m gone. Keeps me on edge!

Be strong and learn from it❤️

Hey, good thing you realized you messed up. Keeps you on edge now.

I wish you the best Josh. We are here for you Brother!

My ex bf got fired a few months ago for creating a hostile work environment. He has 14 years in AA. Behavior is the problem and unfortunately doesn’t always change despite putting down drink or drug. It impacts other people and why he is my ex not just because of that. I hope you find someone to talk to about what is going on. Otherwise you are just a sober horse thief.
