Welcome back Ryan
Nice ...that's quite a long bender there. I've relapsed a few times. Just try to limit the duration of those buggars and don't get too hung up on streaks being broken. As a chronic relapse I try to think of sobriety like a free throw percentage....I relapsed twice last year which sounds awful but in limiting their duration, I was sober 355 out of 365 days that year , so pretty good percentage when you look at it that way 🤷.
Godspeed
Congratulations on being sober longer than I ever have been! 18 months kicks a$$..been there w relapse...may I ask what you learned from it?
As a chronic relapser myself I have learned that my relapses and struggles with alcohol are part of my story. By sharing the good as well as the bad Maybe I can help someone else to let them know they are not alone just as other peoples stories have helped me. We do recover if we work for it. Hang in there. Your worth it.
You are not alone Ryan I’m starting this thing all over again as well but remember just for today! And it’s a marathon not a sprint !
Just for today don’t drink..I had 13 yrs. I drank Heineken 0.0 first. I was happy for that placebo one cold taste. It lead directly to real Heineken. Off to the races. 0.0 has alcohol in it. Drank every day for 9 months. That’s all I could take. Ran to AA. Next week I get 11 mo. chip. You can do it again.
Welcome back. Door to sobriety is always open, anytime someone wants to walk through.
Thank you Mary
One day at a time brother
I learned a ton. I learned that no matter how long I go without a drink it will never be long enough to have another. I learned I need to stay sober or this life will all be for nothing
That's a fact
I can relate. I started with a glass of wine. That turned into a bottle. Then a 6 pack of beer. And then a bottle of whiskey. And then it was game over , all over again.
Thank you B-rye
Thank you lui
Your welcome
It'll get better!
Welcome back, you’re always welcome. 24 hours at a time, and keep your head up
Glad that you are back, Ryan.
Wishing you all the best!
Kathy.
Thank you for sharing your experience, experiences.
I refuse to touch those supposedly “ non alcoholic “ beers, etc.
It makes me angry…how they market that stuff.
Ugh.
You reminded me to never go near those things.
Thank you for sharing what you did!
Awesome!
