Ways sobriety = mastering juggling (for me)

  1. Physical, mental, and spiritual needs must all be “kept in the air.” If you focus on just one or two for too long at the expense of the others, they will be more likely to all fall.

  2. It feels clumsy and impossibly tedious at first, but gets easier over time.

  3. You won’t automatically learn the skill unless you put in the practice. Put in the work and be proud of the results later. You will inspire others later.

….silly I know. Agree/disagree? Do you have any good analogies for stating sober that you have heard?

Balance like a board on a ball.. lean too far one way and you will fall.

Living the dream!

Came here because from the title I thought maybe you literally picked up juggling as a sober hobby  but LOVE this analogy and I still struggle with the balance of mental, physicsl and spiritual but know I feel my best when I'm working on all 3. Thanks for sharing!
