So i just passed my 4 year sobroety birthday. I came across one of my mugshots from when I was arrested shortly before I surrendered to my higher power. This photo was taken when I was arrested for taking out a metal light pole after being up for 6 days. I should not have been behind the wheel but was craving for more drugs so I left and got some but on the way home, less than 10 min from home, I hit the light pole and almost took out a water tower. My higher power was watching over me and I did not get hurt. I was looking at 7 felonies but since police didnt go according to protocol all but 1 charge was dropped. I have the opportunity to now work with addicts and those looking for help, going to school for my Bachelors on Addiction Counseling and will graduate (God willing) in April of 2026.
