AA and the 12 steps, all the way for this alcoholic. ODAAT. I go to meetings and I have a kick ass sponsor who I’m working the steps with. There’s never a boring day only constant growth and reflection.

Ninja sober lady! Lol. You rock! Look out world, a recovering maniac is on the loose. Lol. Definitely a shining beacon for the ladies to look up too. Keep on growing. I’m mostly NA although do AA also. Got clean in 84 through NA so it’s my roots. Yet, whatever others are into makes no difference. To each your own. Staying sober is all that matters.

12 stepper here too. And an avid reader of all sorts of quit lit. I follow The Luckiest Club and Tempest on Instagram but I haven’t joined.

As my favorite old timer likes to call them, I’m living in the growth steps of 10, 11 and 12. I start my first service position 1/1/22 as the chair of the correction facilities committee. I’ve been sober since 5/31/2020.

Active and grateful AA member. So lucky to have met some amazing people both on this app :iphone: and inside the rooms :chair:!!! Surround yourself with positivity and there is less room for toxic BS.

I’m Brad, alcoholic and addict. My program consists of AA and the 12 steps, working the steps with my sponsor, consulting with a couple of mentors who I trust and respect, and spirituality and health/fitness are also major components of my sobriety. I’m being moved more and more to help others, and am taking steps to do so and happily going where God leads me.

Doesn’t helping others feel great? Hell yeah to health and fitness :raised_hands:t2:

I love correctional facilities. I think MJ should do an audio story on an ex convict in recovery or recovered.

How and where do you find a Sponsor?

Hi Chantell, I hope you’re having a great sober night!!

The great thing about finding a sponsor, is that all you need to do is ask a woman whose sobriety resonates with you. When you’re in a meeting if you feel a connection with someone from what they share, you just go up and ask them to guide you through the steps.

Wedad!! My program is a design of my own and includes reading quit lit, listening to sobriety podcasts, yoga, meditation, engaging in sobriety communities, meetings through The Luckiest Club, and copious amounts of dancing in my kitchen. :tipping_hand_woman:t3:

Hi Chantell - Go to a meeting, zoom or online and ask someone to sponsor you. At the end of every meeting, people who are available to sponsor raise their hands and you can ask them right then and there.

Bekky, AA- 2.5 years without any mind or mood altering substances. I've been taught how to live life on life's terms through sponsorship (having one & being one,) working THE program (not "mine",) and being of service!!! There's really way too much I could say about what I love about the program and what it's taught and given me, so imma just stop there  love you all, keep pushing!
