What’s on my mind? Well, we all deal with grief differently, right?
After losing my recovery dog, Bodie, a little over a 6 weeks ago, my fiancé adopted another rescue about 2 weeks later. I had a hard time with this. I was not ready. I was still crying everyday. Then with the new dog I wasn’t bonding with.. . She only wanted my fiancé. Then one morning I prayed. The answer was that it wasn’t right to withhold love from “Daisy”. Now she follows me everywhere and is amazing. She has softened the blow yet she deserves unconditional love just like she gives me. It’s a new adventure with a 8 month old and I’m loving it. Still miss him everyday but somehow I see his spirt in her.
The serenity prayer helps me and guides me through this. Love loosid for allowing me to work through my feelings.
