Wednesday Welcomes

a new day to celebrate recovery and waking up sober! What a way to start off the day! Knowing others who are celebrating thier recovery journey is so refreshing! Yesterday's SU group was stellar. Hearing from a few who wanted to share about why they are lovable and enough was really refreshing. Having each member share about their relationship with alcohol or a relationship with someone who is an alcoholic allowed them to see a clearer picture of the effects of alcohol on the body. Most left with new knowledge and each person left with a small reading assignment from Journey to Recovery on the topic of addiction. Their HW was to read and answer a few questions about thier addiction as we will dig deep and try to get to the core of each persons addiction basis. What a great way to spend the afternoon! I am so grateful to be a part of this journey with them.
I am grateful we got the final requirements fulfilled to start the Anger Management Groups! Mondays from 3 to 5 will be that group. I have made all the PPT slides from the textbook and I am grateful to have this as part of my job. I am looking forward to working with the members and also grateful to be working with the courts and other community professionals as we attenpt to change lives.
I am super grateful for Yak cheese chews. I am not super happy about having to sleep with them. I woke up and found that Shiloh and Little Man had stored their chews in my blanket!:face_with_hand_over_mouth:
I am grateful today as I am meeting my new doctor. I am hoping to get on wegovy or the likes to help me with these pounds I have gained since getting sober.
I am also grateful for my psych med doc who upped a Rx for me to help get out of this slump. I just felt like I needed a little boost. She listened! I am grateful for this. Very. Grateful!
Grateful today! Strong! Sober!!
