I’m writing to you, to give you hope, and let you know your not alone, and that life gets better as long as you do the best you can, to make the next right decision. One key element to addiction I have seen over these last few years is isolation, and the opposite of that is socialization. If you find someone you connect with, stop texting, and call them. If you feel comfortable meet them for coffee.
If you are like me, your addiction gave you strange coping mechanisms, but what if I told you that addiction and trauma actually gave you superpowers?
The one thing alcoholics and addicts know is when someone is trying to “get over” on you. Emotional intelligence has great responsibilities, but if we can get you to focus that power to move your life forward, you’re unstoppable. I am simply suggesting that we focus on one problem at a time, one day at a time, and that we are more powerful together than apart.
