My best friend who died from this f**king addiction, told me ā alcohol is out there doing push ups ā¦ getting stronger and stronger ..just waiting for the chance to ruin us again ā¦ ā so remember, you have to fight for your life everyday to get outta this alive. He got it from aa btw ā¦ but when he said itā¦ I felt it deep down you know

My brother died the color of a lemon from this disease. Wouldnāt wish It on my enemy. I was stupid to fall into same trap. Almost 23 months sobriety and if anything triggers me I reach out to every person in recovery that I know. Not going to die like my brother did. It was heart wrenching. Another friend was found dead in his car bleed out from alcoholism.

My brother is an alcoholic and has refused help going on 45 yrs of drinking now.. itās tragic. Iām so sorry about your brother

He should be supporting your sobriety. My husband goes to have a drink if he wants one no. Nothing in this house. Sorry brutal honestly here.

Beth thank you. No drink is worth your life. I have a friend that just recently met at a meeting 39 in stage 4 cirrhosis. She is turning yellow. Breaks my heart and I hope it isnāt too late for her.

Absolutely. The family needs to help us too. I hope it works out. I know if any alcohol was in my house with my addiction forget it. I loved it but just canāt not even a sip. Just be honest. Tell him to listen to Al-Anon meetings.
