Well the internship working with young people (aged 18-25) in a residential setting is mine if I want it. But I haven’t accepted (or declined) yet cuz I have Zoom interview for a salaried position working at a counseling center.
And most importantly, I look amazing in my fall wardrobe. The sweater is a 14 from TopShop and fits a bit looser than I usually like, but I’m making it work. The pants are fresh from the tailor at 11th Avenue.
And I just had a really good interview. For a paid position as a Certified Peer Recovery Advocate, working with clients in an outpatient setting. The clients themselves would be treating for alcoholism and/or mental illness, so my life experience makes me very well-qualified. And best of all, it’s in Bay Ridge. I could walk to and from work, if I get it. Which I think I will, the woman who interviewed me said I’d definitely be hearing from her. And if I don’t get it, I’ll take the internship.
