Went to a concert in Phoenix last night and was completely sober! I saw Rufus Du Sol, it was amazing! It was so wonderful to truly be feeling the music and dancing the night away without any sloppiness or need to down 729 beers.

Then I woke up early and wandered the city drinking iced coffee before heading to the airport. Old times would have been laying in bed feeling miserable only to then make it to the airport and drink away before my flight. Not this time.

You’ve got a tough job also. Gotta lot of temptations having to photo shows. Feel proud you’re doing this. Keep that great attitude front and center.

Yes!! Sober shows are my favorite! It’s such a different experience being sober than being drunk.

Yes! I saw Maroon 5 last month and it was so great to see them sober! The last time I saw them I was so drunk - I don’t even remember the whole show!
It was great to be present and enjoy the show. So many people were wasted and not even getting the full experience.

Seeing shows sober is such a gift! In early sobriety I thought I’d have to give up concerts because my focus had shifted from enjoying the music to downing as much booze as I could while there. I was nervous they would be triggering for me. Turned out they are not.

Now I remember the set lists, the small talk from the bands in between songs, all of it.

I’m seeing DIIV this Tuesday in SF. First post COVID show! So excited!

How awesome!!

I agree! I work in the music industry and being back in my world experiencing shows and working completely sober has just been so amazing lately! feeling things on such a deeper level:sparkles: I’m sure you totally understand that as well. It’s all around me and I have been on such a different mindset this time around

Yes!!! I love sober shows!! The first time I went to one was 3 years ago and it just felt so much more like…connected. Even when I ‘relapsed’ and was normal drinking, I stayed sober for concerts. Way better.
What’s y’all’s most recent sober concert? Mine was either Cancer Bats or Sworn In- can’t remember which one was last. :metal:t3::metal:t3::metal:t3::metal:t3::metal:t3:

That’s awesome!!!!!

Such a cool thing and it’s ALOT less expensive when it’s all said and done!!! Sobriety rocks! I am still patiently whittling down my “list“ of things to do sober! It is truly amazing though! Happy that you got to experience that!:call_me_hand:t3::sunglasses:
