That is totally awesome! And don’t worry about contributing. You just being there is contributing.
When you can, be kind to someone that may be feeling down. It’ll benefit you both🙏.
I’m here if you want to talk

Sometimes it’s just good to listen, you never know what you may hear that you can take from the meeting.

Just sit back and take in the good mojo from the meetings for awhile. You will get to know the people you can trust and pick a solid person to be your sponsor. Proud of you for going!

My first few months of attending meetings was all about absorbing what I heard. For the longest time I held the belief that anything I had to offer or share wasn't worthy or held any value. And then I found my voice and it helped me grow in this journey. It's a process and you're doing it.

You should be proud of yourself! Keep going back... blessings seem to follow!

It's a big help for long term addicts to hear new stories. It reminds them why they stopped. So be sure and share when you're comfortable doing so as it benefits others as well as strengthens your own desire for sobriety. Stay blessed.

Just a heads up. Meetings have great people and weird people..

I once had a guy follow me into a church bathroom..

Early on, I just got really into Zoom AA. Found so many different types and vibes...

Also, if you're in a major city, you might see hybrid meetings, so if you like it, you can go in person

I never really contribute in meetings. I do service work like a fiend outside of the meetings and that's where I get my recovery from. I talk to whoever needed a ride there and home. Sometimes I got a whole car full of folks. Like a meeting before the
meeting and a meeting after the meeting. Takes tile for some to build up trust and confidence to speak in group.

Don't need to contribute much until you are ready. Hearing the message is key
