Went to my first zoom AA meeting! I was driving home, and finally got the courage to join one. First one ever. And it was totally awesome and I didn’t even need to show my face, but i did bc I’m trying to just be effing honest from now on. Btw this meeting is 24/7/365.

It’s cool you mentioned honestly. Somehow, for me, it seems like drinking and deception are tied at the hip.

Oh totally. Little white lies are my thing. About just random stupid things…sometimes dealing with my drinking, but sometimes just over like, nothing. It stems from the deception OF my drinking, though, bc growing up i never lied about anything. I was annoyingly honest.

I go to 2 a week. In person doesn't do it for me. I actually go out of state and I used to go to an international one. It's actually dope how you can meet other people you'd never have the chance to if it wasn't for zoom apps and other technological platforms.

I agree! It feels so, idk, connected to humanity with international meetings.
I found it easier to walk into a zoom than in person…but it was because of my social anxiety. I was terrified of a big room of strangers.
