Thank god I am checking into treatment Tuesday and am in more or less a safe place at my dads and his wife’s house.. I am so upset with myself for letting this addiction take reign over me once again
I know my “luck” is running out and this fire I’m playing with is life or death. My Dad and his Wife are disgusted with me but I am beyond lucky and grateful they didn’t cut me off over my terrible actions.. Although I feel like total sh*t today, I am still feeling positive and hopeful about treatment and living a healthy and happy life!!! I guess I wanted one last “hooray” before treatment which is no excuse… I’m just hoping and praying I can get rid of that feeling foooorrreeevvveerrrr!!! That is my main concern.. I want to be sober for so many reasons but that “you can have one or a few” DEVIL is so hard to control!! I will address this all in rehab.. Ty guys always for your support

Best of wishes in treatment. I know for me, my last detox truly helped me with the right medications. I was so dependent on alcohol I had to have it just to stop shaking. After detox the hospital set me up with an amazing group of people. I went to intensive outpatient therapy where I was randomly drug tested. After that I started an Early Recovery with the same group. I now have 18 1/2 months sobriety. I thank god for my recovery team every day. I loved to drink and Honestly still have a hard time knowing I can NEVER drink again but i have alcoholism in my family. My brother died at 33 the color of a lemon. I don’t want to do that so I do One Day At A Time now and I reach out whenever I feel this demon tries to over rule me. Reach out stay strong. You can do it.

Thank you for sharing that Nancy!! My brother just passed a few weeks ago at 36 :/. It’s so very sad but I can relate in that I don’t want to go too soon either. I’m a binge drinker so I don’t really have to detox.. I have not been drinking much the fast few weeks but boy did I over do it yesterday- I actually ended up throwing up which rarely happens to me due to my tolerance I guess. Not good either way! I just ordered tons of food and am nursing myself back to life….for the last time ever I pray!!!! I hope to be a success story like you and so many of you guys on here. I believe I will be…just beating my self up today. Amen to one day at a time

All the best to you in treatment. I finally had to swallow my pride and check in to treatment. That was May of 2021 and I’ve been sober ever since. Use your time there to work on yourself. Have a sober plan and sober team in place for yourself when you get done with treatment, and you’ll have a tremendous chance of being successful in sobriety. Prayers to you!
That’s very courageous of you and I’m happy it worked for you.. I’m very ready for it too!!
Your gonna do awesome in treatment! Give it all up to God, you can t fight the battle alone. But, he can fight it and give you the strength
Been there as well. It’s not getting knocked down that’s important, it’s getting back up. You are not alone, and you can do this and you will be better for it.
To be honest I was told by my recovery team that binge drinking is no different than drinking everyday I can only suggest to you that if you want to stop alcohol completely get on a medication. Honestly you may need to be detoxed first. Binge drinking does more hard to your body because it is done fast and furious. Take what you want from this and leave the rest as they say in AA. Good luck.
Sending you all the love, girl. I’m proud of you.
