Nothing like being disappointed by people, places and things.
You'd figure we are adults and you'd be honest with one another. In my case. I had an individual that was not honest and tried to scam me.
What a major disappointment
I'm sorry. Are you feeling better today?
@amandaloosidsupport44083
Thank you.
It's all about acceptance.
Accepting the things you cannot change but having the courage to change the things that you can.
People are going to do what people are going to do. Good or bad it affects everybody.
Good part is there was no need to drink over it or do stupid things.
And at this stage of my sobriety drinking is not an option. Next month will be 36 years and I'm freaking proud of that.
Awesome job can't wait till I can say that
So Awesome Michael! If I’m thinking it’s probably the same scammer that scammed me as well?
So you were a fireman and LEO?
You were both?
Right
Understandably! It’s hard to deal with disappointment. Sometimes forgiveness takes time, but it can be freeing when you’re ready. Do you think there’s a chance to work through this or find some peace with it down the road?
@crissy267894
Yes, I've kept my side of the street clean throughout all of this. I'm at peace with it and have moved on.
Although I can't control people, places and things however I can control me. Keeping my side of the street clean is part of it.
Yep, it was a certain youngster. Looking and needing sober friends a post like “I need to talk to someone”(Danielle)???
I'm glad your thinking isn't broken.
It's not hard to figure out those that are still broken.
One thing my old time sponsor used to always tell me is "" ACCEPTANCE IS THE ANSWER TO ALL MY PROBLEMS"
Not the answer to some of them. BUT ALL OF THEM.
You know that old saying " if it's not broken, don't fix it"
Peace and love brother.
How many years each?
Dang I'm so sorry to hear that.ive been through that myself....I've been disappointed many times.i hope things get better for you.
