Hi I’m Mandy , and I’m a recovering alcoholic. I’ve been sober for 1 year 4 months. I’m 45 and have been trying to get sober and stay sober since I was 27. I’ve had long times of sobriety but the binge drinking was always there waiting. I almost lost my marriage and my life. I fell and hit my head in my home while drinking alone, and ended up having brain surgery. I also have cirrhosis that will always be with me. Luckily abstaining from alcohol and some medication, I’m much better than I was physically and mentally. Most of all I’m grateful.
