Looking for some new hobbies to keep me occupied. It seems that I am triggered to drink the most when all I have to do is housework and chores. Would love to hear what any ideas.
I started a new exercise program, updated my Spanish app (took five years in school so I like to practice for fun), play Sudoku, got a new piano keyboard last year I'm pulling out and going to take lessons. I'm looking for some classes or group activities.
Thank u for sharing!!!

Picked up a ton but my biggest is vegetable gardening. Have a a mini farm on an acre. Grow pretty much everything I eat minus meats. Have chickens and ducks. When I first got sober, I had nothing, renting a room from a friend.
I started mountain biking at first and loved it!! Tons of endorphins were released and it was a great workout too. I have a bad knee though and after a while Iād get pretty sore. Now I climb prolly at least two times a week. Inside at the gym and outside a ton. Have found an amazing community in rock climbing and it is meditation for me, balance, strength, overcoming fear, trusting my partner and my gear. It is such a powerful tool for me to stay in touch with creation also. Being outside in the wilderness being wild.
Started stargazing. Go outside, in the evening, away from it all... And just start pointing the telescope and binoculars at a certain target in the sky.. I've been able to read all about the legends of certain stars as well as their science.
I started kayaking the mangrove tunnels and natural springs throughout Florida
Music is a good hobby if you want a real time-consumer... practice takes a lot of it, and the therapy is invaluable. I regained my family in sobriety and play a lot of games with my little brother now. Other than that, a 12-Step study, back to college, work, etc. Gotta keep the time filled
Awesome, I kayak here in NC but moving to Florida in 2 years near cedar key. Looking forward to the mangroves

Archery, golf, volunteer work at the museum or zoo.
Haven't been sober but for a couple weeks but have gotten back into reading, writing, cooking and searching for Mid-Century modern decor for my new house.
