“What did you do with the gifts that I gave you?”

I read in a book once, “what did you do with the gifts that I gave you?”

It is my belief that we can choose to come to find view addictions as a gift.

From it, we have increased our capacity for empathy & compassion for others.
From it comes deprivation and deprivation is the barren soil from which gratitude can be grown.

When I think on the future I become anxious, when I reflect on the past, depression can set in. The present moment is the only place where we can experience true contentment.

Shame wants to tell us, “you don’t deserve to be happy; Just look at all you did!”
And IF we can move past that Shame follows up with a deadly punch saying, “who do you think you are?”

This is a lie straight from the pit of h3ll.

We must view these thoughts for what they are , lies from an enemy. The voice of a disease trying to kill its host.

Look at how strong you are to have endured what you have. Relapses merely moments where our minds and bodies needed solace.
We must come to embrace two simple truths:

  1. Active addiction has a foregone conclusion: Death.
  2. We are clearly stronger than it because there’s breath in our lungs today.

Stand up, reach out, and love with open hands.

I pray this message find you well.
You are so very worthy of peace and happiness.

It’s time to write the next chapter and answer the question.

“What did you do with the gifts that I gave you?”
