What do you all think about non alcoholic wines/ beers or seltzers
To each their own, but I don’t take the chance. My sobriety is too important, so it’s not worth it to me to drink something that may lead to a relapse, because a relapse would jeopardize my family, my career, my life. For me, they’re not an option.
Definitely not for everyone. I used them to feel more comfortable around friends who drink. That was mostly in the beginning of my sobriety. Now I can careless of fitting in and I’ll order water or lemonade.
For me, I tried it early in in my long journey of trying to get sober. Obviously it did not work. I tried everything really. Technically, by drinking NA wine/beer, the obsession is still there. Now being 20 months sober, I ask abs thank god every day to remove that obsession and it really has brought peace into my life.
I am a big fan of non alcoholic seltzer. Up until a few years ago it was just called seltzer.
What may work for some may not work for others.
I personally don’t do it nor do I slam water.. not really sure why
Some choose to do so
But like I said
“What works for some might not work for others.”

I drink Ginger beer. It’s not beer, it’s like ginger ale but sooo much tastier.
I stay away from anything that tastes like alcohol.
For me, the taste of what nearly killed me I would not touch. This is my opinion only but I hope this helps!
I'm in a good mental place no cravings or urges and I am able to enjoy a Heineken zero. My youngest son just went off to boot camp for the Marines and his pool league friends through him a going away party at the bar, I was there until closing time had a great time with everyone drinking and most didn't know I was drinking a zero alcohol beer. I would not recommend being in that environment if you struggle at all.im just really glad I didn't miss it.
I have no desire to try or drink those. I guess for me I don’t want to be tempted to go back to that lifestyle so I stay away from it all.
Not for me
The way I feel about this is that it can be dangerous. The reason I feel like drinking non alcoholic drinks can trick your mind into wanting more. Your not getting the benefits of the job alcoholic drink and your mind is going to be like nah girl this ain’t it. I want more. NOW in another sense…you are the only one that knows your determination and your motives. What I mean is your the only one I’m control of your mind. What helps someone doesn’t always help you. If you know your strong enough to drink that non alcohol drink then go for it. There are people out there that just cant. That’s okay.
Okay! Thanks everyone!! Made up my mind its def a NO for me
They actually make non alcoholic brews that taste just like it without the poison. Seedlip makes spirit s that have no alcohol and with club soda make a good mock tail. I like the idea of having something that feels like a treat but doesn’t get me slobberknockered. Some people have absolutely no self control even thinking this way. Some like me say get the poison out and have a replacement.
If it's not a temptation- great. If it is, please stay away.

I don’t like to pretend I’m “drinking”. I’ll just drink something tasty when I’m thirsty. Soft drinks are good.
I don't think about them.
I drink seltzer and have for years.
I'm not a big fan of any of that stuff Danielle. It's been my experience that when people revert to non-alcoholic beers and wines they usually return to the real thing sooner or later. The secret for me is I simply quit hanging out in places where people drink. I quit hanging out at places where they sell alcohol and I quit hanging out with people that drink. A member of Alcoholics Anonymous for many many years and I have tried it all just like in the big book. The only thing that we really have to change in order to get sobriety is everything.
My sponsor said no to everything I said
