Awesome brother
Sobriety has given me a life. Not my old life but a real life. One that I am fully present for. The real me bloomed through sobriety and I love it so much that I wish every single person have the feeling of joy and understanding and gratitude because man life is beautiful we just have to align our thoughts instead of masking them. I always hid who I was inside because anytime I spoke or acted as a child I was called different. I have learned I am different and that’s what makes me me and what makes me special. Thank you for this community
Stay blessed, yes I’m thankful for who I am today. I’m thankful for what I have and what I don’t have.
Motivation to be a better version of myself. The ability to do things like hit the gym and be healthier. Mental stability and better sleep.
Sobriety has helped me with getting out of the cycle of the emotional ups and downs. Mental stability and the ability to think a little more clearly. The ability to respond instead of reacting. I’m less impulsive.
My sobriety has given me MY true self
What has recovery given me? Just about everything: My health back, my apartment back, my family back, my job back, sanity back (most of the time), hope, serenity. I don't miss using at all.
Freedom.
On so many levels.
Thanking the many Higher Powers I believe in-that I am FREE from that poison, that devil-alcohol.
“ Not today, Satan “.
Hopefully never again.
Ever.
( I am so n o t complacent / this time around, especially ).
Thank you for asking us this question.

Kiowa, I love that you shared, included the part about that which you do n o t have, as well.
I am going to remember to be grateful for what is “ missing “, what I do not have-also!
Some great friendships back
Peace, and loving sober me again.
The ability to prepare a large space for blueberry bushes! So much more but I'm really excites about the blueberries.
One day at a time
That’s great Kay.
