I take vivitrol, have been for a year. Not sure if it's placebo but I haven't had any cravings this go around. I still go to therapy and meetings and even bring meetings to jails, prisons and treatment centers but I think it def helps. It blocks the receptors in your brain so you can't get drunk or high from opiates even if you tried. Naltrexone is a once daily pill and vivitrol is a once every 28 day injection. It hurts because it is thick and slow release but the soreness is gone after a day or two. It's stupid expensive but thankfully my insurance covers it.
