My girlfriend and I both enjoy having a private, quiet moment to reflect and re center.
We both do the exact same things.
Get calm
Be thankful
Accept life
Find peace
The only difference is really the name. I call it meditation, and she calls it prayer.
It's the activity, not the title that matters. We may have different higher powers on paper but I'll bet the same cosmic force is listening.

I dig this. Personally I don't think anything else is listening, just you or me, whoever is doing the meditating. I find that very grounding. Centering myself on the moment. If I am not the center of the universe universe, then why would the universe care about my thoughts? Doesn't matter, quiet is nice.
