What is the best way to remain sober when everyone

What is the best way to remain sober when everyone drinks around you and it's so easily accessible?

Set your boundaries and stick to them. That may require cutting ties with people, or, avoiding situations. My sponsor always told me ā€œdon’t be where you don’t need to beā€ also if you have to be in a situation where drinking is going to be, have an escape route. Don’t get stuck somewhere. And don’t let people talk you into staying if you are uncomfortable (that’s the boundaries thing) stay strong!

For me I had to make a choice, especially in my early sobriety. I had to change my people , places, and things. I had to make new friends. Surrounding myself with other sober people that have now become my best friends is what has helped me.

I got a divorce and left all my ā€˜friends’. It’s been a lonely time but I’m 2.5 years clean/sober. Sometimes you have to start over… at least I did.

I’m in a difficult situation too. My husband drinks. He drinks a lot. I’m 9 days sober. Had 83 days and drank one of his drinks and went on a binge. Don’t know what I’m going to do.

I'm in a similar situation. I've been lucky that my family has been supportive and that I've made some new friends who support me

Just know I’m your heart that they can, but you CANT

Just went to Dinner w/gym buddies, wives! Steakhouse. Went w/my wife so had support and had a great time!

Be accountable and have a schedule.

Limit time in settings you know will cause temptation. I’ve left early or not attended many events that made me uncomfortable. Being I’ve always been an introvert and did a lot of my drinking alone, it’s a good excuse to leave social events anyway. Being the only sober one there makes it even more uncomfortable anyway.

For me it was about remembering why I quit. I have a family of alcoholics so this is a big thing. I also noticed that once I got my legs underneath me, I don't hang out with that portion of my family as much. Not that I don't still care and love them deeply.. I do. We just don't have much in common these days.
