What is the one thing you enjoy most about being sober?

Feeling like I’m actually awake and actively living my life instead of always being in a numb blur on the constant drunk/hungover cycle.
Speaking of which: no hangovers. Good lord that will never get old. Waking up without a racing heart, panic attack, and nausea is the bees knees :honeybee:🦵🏼

What lol

Exactly! Having that clarity and seeing there is more to life than getting to that next happy hour.

Idk but you should definitely text that person. Maybe they have the next winning loto numbers and what to share with you?

LOL :man_facepalming:t2: Maybe they do have the winning lotto numbers

I like that one less thing “owns” me, one less thing tells me what I do. I feel empowered and curious about life without drugs.

Clarity, being myself and being a dad that my son looks up to. Relationships are genuine and healthy, I’m SO grateful to be sober.

i feel more emotionally balanced. being angry at everyone and the world felt awful and exhausting, now it's so much easier to tell what i'm really feeling and why

Truly laughing !!! And not just fake laughing!!

Yep! Just being present...and being a productive person and knowing what's going on! No one whispers about me anymore...I can be trusted today. My family doesn't look at me side ways anymore! I'm actually respected and I respect myself!! There really is no one thing my friend!! It's everything!

I actually like waking up now. I like the extra time, and freedom.

I love all this feedback. For me I enjoy all the extra head space I have now. Back while I was drinking I was always trying to find the perfect balance for no hangover the next day… calculating in my head what will get me drunk but not to much so I can make it to work. Eventually that would all go out the window because after drinking I’d just go buy more lol :joy: :man_facepalming:t2: I have so much more time to think on things now it is truly peaceful
