I know different times of the day or we are the struggle points for a lot of us. Mine is 4am when I would love to be asleep. When is your biggest struggle time?
I don’t have a “time” it is more situational. After golf, sitting around a campfire, playing cribbage with the boys…
Summertime. Down time.
Great question!
It's good y'all know when it's the hardest because you know how/when to deal with cravings. It's not a sneek attack, so you can prepare. Great job on awareness.
Every minute of every day that I’m awake sleep is a blessing
Tonight… amazing weather and great friends.
About a month into a job.
Leaving work for the day.
In the morning on the days I don’t have anything going on. I don’t like getting out of back.
Nice weather or down time
I have to agree with you. Late at night around 2am to 4am is hard for me. I sometimes wake up feeling anxious and the only thing I do is smoke cause let’s be real what can someone do that late at night.
Sorry I felt I should clarify that I smoke cigarettes late at night. Not the best habit but it’s all I got.
Late afternoon to early evening. Done with work but too soon for bed. It was always the time that I would start using.
Struggle time is when I am not praying or meditating. Or forget to count my blessings
All the time..... I'm sick of always being in my head
The 3 or 4 AM wake up and follow on insomnia is no fun. That’s when the mind runs wild, for me at least
The struggle is when emotional triggers are touched at any and all times of the day. Example: someone pissing me off — the old habits call for me.
I agree with Tim on it being situational for me too. I still feel very new to sobriety. I thought a year and a half I would start to feel more use to it. But I haven’t bbq’d since I’ve been sober, I’m still adjusting to holidays. It’s a work in progress for me doing things I use to do with a beer can in my hand. But it’s getting better. If I did have a time of day it would be the evening after work time like around 6pm. That May tie into situational because I drank when I got off work before it progressed to me drinking while at work. Glad those days are behind me.
