Michael Keaton in Dopesick
The Shawshank Redemption. It's a great story of seemingly unwarranted trials and remarkable perseverance.
I have a couple of favorite series.
Good Behavior with Michelle Dockery from Downton Abbey is a rollercoaster of ups and downs. She's amazing as an alcoholic, heroin user and thief, who's trying desperately to turn her life around, regain custody of her son, and build a loving and respectful relationship with a man who's just as complex as she is. It's really good.
Also, The Queen's Gambit. Young female orphan chess prodigy, hooked on benzos from like age 11, raging alcoholic by like 15, a world chess champion by her early 20s. So many brilliant people have co-occurring mental health and addiction struggles. It's an incredible series.
The verdict with Paul Newman will always be one of my favorites
Hang on and KEEP fighting
Four good days with Mila Kunis
Peaceful Warrior is a life changing movie.
