I have to have blood work done once a year for medication. I found myself trying to “cheat the system” for my liver enzymes to be in the normal range. I finally realized what a pathetic existence that had become. I would stop drinking long enough to hopefully have decent numbers, taking milk thistle, liver detox tea, etc. just so I could get the blood work and start all over again. Vicious, pathetic cycle.
