What new healthy thing do you do now that you

What new healthy thing do you do now that you are sober? For me, I was always trying to do to all of the healthy things AND stay drunk so that became…..crazy. I’m starting off slow now and trying to stick to my vitamin regime that seems to help me feel better. I’m also hydrating a lot more. Baby steps for now. How about you?

Routine. Eat healthy. Meetings. Keeping easy does it in forefront. Good for you

I feel like I’m always trying to move around. The more I sit still the more I feel triggered to drink at home out of boredom. Walk the new puppy, boot camp class at 6 AM, more time playing soccer and baseball with my two boys, whatever you gotta do to keep moving. The puppy walks give me ample time to catch up on my sober podcasts. Love that time to myself! Keep up the good work!

Bird watching has been really wonderful for me.

Really starting to pour myself into the gym and fitness.

I have been mediating every morning and slowing adding more meditation sessions through out my day. I plan to mediate 3 times a day. It really works wonders and great stress reliever. Try this app called Headspace, I promise you love it

I’ve been able to enjoy my time actually enjoying things. Saying “I want to go do something”, now I go do those things.
Putting in miles on my mountain bike is a great feeling.

Going for runs

Last time I quit, I restarted practicing martial arts. Lots of anger comes out when you get permission to hit something. This time, I’m quite a bit older and I have so enjoyed spending time with my wife and not trying to figure out how long this shopping trip, walk or movie is going to last so I can get some alcohol.

Talking to people

Not sure how healthy it is, but I've learned how and started to play ice hockey. I pass out hard after a practice and wake up with injuries. But at least now I know what the injuries are from and why I'm sore in the morning. Remembering how I got home is fun too.

Go to the Gym, fish from the local lakes or rivers. Volunteer in the community

I can actually exercise, which I haven’t been able to do in years. I never used to enjoy it, but now I have enough energy to go skiing regularly again, ride my bike, and recently started boxing which I absolutely love :boxing_glove:
