What Nine years sober has taught me

No matter how long you’ve been sober you will still have days you struggle to stay that way. You have to choose not to give in to that addiction daily. You need to find a higher power to rely on. You’re not bigger than your addiction. Find something that is. Any time you can help someone else get/stay sober, do it!!! You could be literally saving their life. Even on days you’re struggling to stay sober, be the support another person needs.

The most important thing I’ve learned is that I’m nothing special. If I can do it, anyone can.
