What’s something socially awkward that has happened to you lately? I told my Mom I would take care of the drinks for my Dad’s bday party. There will be a lot of kids there so I guess I was thinking I’d know what to get as far as that goes. My mom just called me and stammered through a sentence of saying me getting the drinks is fine but she will get the beer because my Dad wants some special craft beers that apparently only they know what they are. Is this true? Somewhat. Could they just tell me the name? Yes. Do I deserve this mistrust? Yes. It just hurts. Anyone have something similar?
It sounds awkwardly sweet. Sounds like she loves you and wants the best for you. Much better than, “don’t you just want one shot of tequila?”
