What’s something your thankful for?
My son who supports my recovery. I lost my family nearly 10 yrs ago. Becoming a mother is when I started recovery. I felt very ashamed to be a drinking mother. The guilt was unbearable. In 39 yrs since actively trying to get sober, I relapsed 3 times. Once after 9 yrs sober. again after nearly 7 yrs sober and lastly I drank 9 mos after I had 13 yrs sober. There’s no more recoveries in me. One beer means 1,000.I have good days and notsogood days but drinking is the answer to nothing. I’d feel like a worthless pos and would probably have a 6th dui and be broke and in jail. I’m 68 now. Too old for all the trouble it brings. My bottom was hopelessness. I felt dead inside. Beer became slop. Literally garbage. It killed my 3 siblings.
