What’s your biggest tip for dealing with anxiety while trying to stay sober?

I try to just be mindful of what’s happening in the present, I try to focus on where I am, how my feet feel then go up from there until i get to my brain ha and my the time I get to my brain i usually am not thinking of what I was anxious about

Personally for me, it's all about staying busy. My anxiety goes crazy if I'm in my own head, sitting around and thinking about things. I workout a lot, love to write, play my guitar, read, go to meetings, listen to YT videos of other success stories for sobriety, walk around the neighborhood or the park. I'll take a longer drive to go to the grocery store even so I can listen to music and occupy my time. Play with my dog outside etc..Being outdoors have helped me probably the most. It's little things I find myself doing that I would never be doing if I was drinking again.

Walking, running, hiking. Anything outdoors in the sun.
Embrace some anxiety though. It’s a feeling. It helps to prepare choices for what’s to come in the future. Acknowledge it, don’t mire in it. Accept that you’re going to have anxiety, when it starts to be overwhelming get up and walk, or even just go out and observe nature. Anxiety will pass if you allow it to…
