What’s your reason?

I'm a little turned off by the amount of emails I get from her. My God! She was in advertising before her book and seems she still is. Not trying to bash her, but that is a turn off for me. I got a lot from her book though and her videos. A lot of the books like hers got their inspiration from Alan Carr, how to quit drinking. It's the best type of advice out there, imo, once you start realizing the beliefs you have about alcohol are not true, you can be free because you no longer WANT to drink. I thought about going through one of her programs as well, but it was very expensive and I didn't feel "ready" at the time.

I tried to write a response to you about about grace, but I failed to direct it, I guess

I feel like heavy drinkers drink for no reason. There’s ALWAYS something that triggers an individual. Stress, trauma related memory, boredom, could be a plethora of things. I guess my first big question to you would be is; could you identify at what points in the day you drank, and what may have caused it?

It became pretty much daily all day. I thought it was “helping” with my anxiety

Me too. I don't like those profiting off this thing. Honestly. I haven't really seen any tools from Annie to implement into action either and I've read her stuff, watched podcasts etc.

Thank you so much!

My liver hurt and my cousin committed suicide. My favorite Aunt that I am most like died from a wet brain. It was awful...she literally lost her mind. It's all right there in front of me. Although my Dad got sober he ended up with bone cancer after 20 years sobriety. I know it catches up with all of us for certain. I hope they can surgical remove those! What do you need to do? Sending positive vibes.

I had to stop drinking because I was going blind.. due to my blood sugar.. I drank from the age of 12.. ad started drinking on a daily basis since I was 15.. but by the time I was 45 I had too much damage to my body because of it.. I drank from the time I got off work til I passed out at night. If I wasn’t working I was drinking.. and there were times I drank while I was working.. I never thought I had a problem until I started embarrassing myself during meetings etc.. I knew I had to cut down but I started seeing spots before my eyes and went to my eye doctor.. he checked my sugar and said he didn’t know how I was walking around.. it was down to 25.. and had the girl get me a coke and candy bar.. to get my sugar up.. on any given day if I don’t control it with my diet it could go way down or way up.. where it can put me in a coma and seizure.. so while I was in the hospital from food poisoning I had my gallbladder out and I prayed all the time I was thee for God to take the desire for alcohol away from me and He did.. I even tried drinking a little wine but I didn’t want any of it.. I’m a firm believer that if you really want to stop and you turn it over to God He will give you the strength to quit for good..
