I thought i was a bad person who lacked control (willpower)
the false belief that I can drink and have a manageable life at the same time.
It won't hurt to have "just one".
There’s nothing wrong with tying on a few. I mean we all do it.
I can drink a little wine and be ok lies I told myself all the time
That my drug would be there for me and be my friend
I got this!! It’s okay if my husband has a drink in the next room as I’m euthanizing my precious dog. Big fat lie. His drink became my drink and back off to the races. Week long binge
. Day 2 sober today. I’m not drink proof!
I can cut myself off whenever I like. I can manage my drinking.
“These people love me”.
They disappeared when the booze was gone
I’m telling myself ALL of the above lies, thanks for making me realize I’m not alone and the are LIES from your experience
I need help from anyone and any source I can get it AND I need to return it in kind
I’m not a bad person and don’t have to walk around feeling guilty
I ceased fighting anything and anyone.
That religion wasn’t for me. I now enjoy going to church.
Alcohol was my problem. It was my solution to my me problem
I relapsed and I came back by the grace of god. I realized I cannot do this myself I need to surround myself around people that are an addict as myself
