What was the first social event you went to completely sober? Was it awkward?
It was Thanksgiving 2024. I thought it would be a trigger to drink. I am happy to report it was not!! Many at the feast were indulging in the spirits. I saw the booze. Acknowledged the booze. I simply went on with visiting 
. I swear by naltroxone!

Not sure if it was my first, but I went to an amazing metal show with 4 bands that could each be a headliner and didn't drink a drop of alcohol. It wasn't awkward for me although in the past things like that have been somewhat awkward.
It was a little awkward cause it was a family event and everyone had drinks accept me
It was a family BBQ with friends i went with separate cars so I could leave when they started hitting it harder I focused more on the kids socialized a little ate then left it was good time
Yes … I do I didn’t feel awkward because I had already been practicing bring my own drinks so it was not extremely tempting to turn it down… I was grieving deeply it was grandmother’s funeral at her repass I also had people to text if things got crazy
