Get your a$$ to an AA meeting and network. You don't have to do this alone, and internet friends aren't gonna be able to help the way real life people can.

It ends when you admit that alcohol won. It defeated you no matter what you tried, no matter how hard you tried, and no matter how many times you tried. Once you finally accept that your way will not work, you’ll be ready to try some ways that have worked for other people.
Overcoming pride is hard. Being willing to do things that I didn’t want to do, or even didn’t believe in, because there’s a chance they could work, took complete surrender on my part. I was done. Out of options. And that’s all it took. It’s been called the gift of desperation. I think that is appropriate.

For me it took time but gradually all of the other things in my life before alcohol began to fill with the color they had

Are you able to go to a treatment center? That saved my life! It can be done, but I know it feels like it can’t sometimes. All the prayers!
AA meetings & building up your sober network. Have you checked into an inpatient or outpatient program near you?

How’s it going today Travis?
I appreciate everybody that has commented on this post and reached out to help me. It means more than any of you could possibly imagine it has been a struggle to be transparent. I started picking up drinking again about this time last year, and I’ve carried a buzz every day since then, today I have decided to go back to an AA meeting. I believe that is where the things are going to begin to get better.
