When I first started recovery it was just to

When I first started recovery it was just to stay clean from alcohol and cocaine. I always smoked pot and didn't really think it was such an issue. A good friend of mine let me know that I wasn't practicing sobriety fully. So, I went 15 days without it and then fell yesterday because I was around the wrong people. Smoked a joint and blew that right out the window. Today is my first day actually sober and it went well. Danced in the rain with my daughter, went shopping, and even watched movies with her. Im taking my sobriety very serious now and don't want any substance whatsoever in my system. I want to be able to look back in a week, month and even a year and say I am 100% clean. But for now I will just focus one day at a time. Reach out to people when I feel an urge and really take this serious. I am very grateful that tonight I will be going to bed clean and have survived the day. Tomorrow is day 2 and I'm looking forward to just doing the right thing. I know I can do this. I am a warrior king and I believe in myself. I just need to cut the people out of my life that are not supportive of my recovery and remember that it's not about the times I fall but all about getting back up..

Yeah man, I hear you but for me it's all bad. I use it just like any other drug. At first the high is ok and controlled then BOOM it doesn't do anything for me and I'm off to the races. I agree with you if I want to practice being 100 percent clean I need to stay away from it all. Smoking weed just is another crutch for me until I find something better and then that becomes My new high until something else replaces it. So, I can't do any of it. I am powerless over it all and I can't allow myself to keep thinking I'm being sober when I'm not. This is something I've wanted for a long time. To be completely clean of all substances so I will be staying away.

Thanks bean. I have lied to myself for to long and I can't keep doing that. Recovery is when you are fully clean of all substances and that is what my goal is.

Yeah man I know what you meant. All good..

Thanks I had 8months before but the Cali way. But a good friend let me know that I wasn't fully sober and that's what I really want. To say I am :100: clean without any substance. To be honest I want to be able to take a drug test without using a chemical or synthetic urine..I want it to be all me that passes it on my own..
