When I got sober challenged my self to flip my lifestyle. I went from 205 lbs to 150 in about 6 months. I channel my addict/alcoholic behaviors as a tool to accomplish goals.
We always found a way to get our “fix”. Now we can use that obsessive and impulsive tendencies for real tools for a healthier life. And honestly, it’s fun to have these goals and challenges now.
Everyday we get through the day sober, the stronger we become. I already crawled out of the insanity of active addiction. Whenever things get tough, I remind myself of how insane it was and how my everyday challenges seem so minuscule.

Go get what you deserve friends!

That’s awesome! Keep up the good work on staying physically healthy!
Can I ask how healthy is your spirituality? What are you doing on mental health and emotional sobriety?

I too did a 180 on my health. But it felt like I was switching one addiction for a new one. I’m inspired by your motivation for healthy living in sobriety.

Very inspiring! I too went on a mission to improve my health after getting sober and am in better shape then I’ve been in since my 20s. It’s crazy that at 42 I can bench more than when I was 21…

Thanks for sharing and keep up the good work!

I try to stay connected with my spirituality every single day. I don’t think there such thing as a “healthy spirituality “. Being connected to my higher power is very important to me. Everyday I ask my higher power for guidance in my sobriety and to help me with problems that are out of my power. Be aware of signs your higher power is showing you.

That’s awesome! I totally agree! When I’m consciously in the moment I can see and feel the guidance of my higher power, God.
Sounds like you’re on the right path! Keep up the good work!
