When I lost my son Cody my drinking went absolutely through the roof. Today after 11 years I hope to regain my sanity.
Thank you!
Hi Ann. As a father of two, I imagine I’d have had the same reaction. I’m very sorry for your loss. It’s wonderful that you are hear working on your recovery. It’s time to heal. It’s going to be painful at times, but it’s time to clean out those wounds and live again. Sharing your pain and becoming vulnerable is a huge first step. We are hear to listen and support

Oh Ann, sending you such a big hug and some comfort. I could imagine I would respond in the same way. What I can tell you is that I have found clarity, space, and self-love in recovery that I never had before, I hope you find the same.
I have blamed myself for his death for many years even though I was not there when he died. It is time to try to put that guilt away. Because it tormented me for years. I had 2 attempted suicides. I know if I were to start drinking again every day that I would die. I have to think about my 3 living children and my husband.
So very sorry for your loss Ann. I can’t imagine the pain. I haven’t seen or spoke to my boys in 7 years due to my drug use & a very toxic relationship. And when they left my drug use went through the roof for 3 1/2 years. I now have 5+ years clean. And you can get there too. One Day at a Time….. great support here too…. Hang on, you can do this. Have a good evening
I am sorry for your loss!

Always praying for everyone who struggles, but a special prayer for us grieving mothers
you can do this Ann! Trust the process
I cannot imagine your grief. I’m sorry for your loss. Sending love
