When I was in early recovery a family member asked me “how long do I have attend those classes (meetings) “?
I’m curious community
How long?
Maybe a newcomer here has a similar if not the same question

Just today. Then maybe tomorrow . Probably the day after that too…
My people just ask if I still go. Not in the same way but to see if I’m keeping it together. My response is always that I’ll be going for the rest of my life.
I’m learning everyday
As long as needed and then some. Community is the opposite of addiction and it’s great to have a support network. Sometimes it’s daily or several times a day, other times it may be once a week. The good news is it’s there when you need it and when you don’t think you do.
You should keep on going until you want to keep on going. Just my view.
It’s a LIFE sentence, not a death sentence.
