Who has experience with suboxone? I was taking it 6 years first came off it in 2019 was clean til March of 2020 then started again so I had 6 months…I stopped again 3 days ago, will my withdrawal last as long as last time? I jumped off at 24 mg I know what your thinking, that’s too high to jump from, but i was ready, my mind was set i tried the taper thing, I just wound up doing more so here goes nothing..

No different than heroin withdrawals. Hope you can make it. Really don’t think you can substitute one drug for another. Just me tho. Good luck. Hope you get through this. Suggest you hit meetings and get plugged in and keep reaching out for help. Cold turkey the only way.
When your done, your done.... Nothing external can get you sober, nothing external can keep you sober. It's

Hi Merry (pretty name) My experience with suboxone is this: It was a godsend when they first started prescribing it, and a demon trying to go off of it. Itried slowly withdrawing...it didn't seem to make much difference(withdrawing slowly, or just jumping off) It's like you still have to go through the withdrawals irregardless. I jumped off after tapering down to 1/4 film 3x a day. I thought...I should be fine now. Hahaha, the suboxone devil had other thoughts. I tried withdrawing myself at home, until I got too sick to do it alone. When I went to the ER they gave me meds to help with the restless legs, and for nausea. I have been on gabapentin for years for something unrelated to withdrawals. I didn't know that helped, so I guess I was lucky. The doc in the ER gave me clonidine 0.1 mg, for the restless legs which was a lifesaver!
Once you have been off of suboxone and all other opiates and alcohol for 7-10 days you can begin vivitrol shots. Google it. If you want to. Vivitril was a total game changer for me. Within hours of receiving the injection, the cravings stop.
Vivitrol...you must go to a doc's ofc that has a doc, nurse, or PA trained to give the injections.
You get an injection once a month, for 6 months, a yr, two years, etc....you decide when you feel that you can stay sober without it.
Vivitrol. IS NOT like suboxone. There are no opiates in Vivitrol. When you go off of Vivitrol, that's it, you go off of it, no side effects...no withdrawals, nothing

I was in vivitrol for those 6 months I guess that was my problem, I loved it, only problem with me was the depression! But I think that’s what I will do again
