Who here doesn't attend AA or NA? But is it still killing it in the recovery world?

Me!
I tried AA…. But it wasn’t for me. But still sober and happy!
I just talk to my therapist and stick to my routine I made for myself!
Me, 7 years and coming up on 8.
After 28 day rehab, I went down my own path and have been sober ever since.
Welcome
I rarely go to AA meetings any more. Found Ben’s Friends, a sober f&b support group for people who are, or at one time struggled with addiction. Many of them got sober thru AA as did I but I needed to have more in common with recovering addicts to make their support really stick.
Hoping to find that in Loosid. Not looking too promising.
That would be me!
I wouldn't say I'm killing it, but managing with the help of my therapist and support from family and friends. Plus ice cream, cake and chocolate.
Wow…feels like a back handed compliment to people who are killing it in AA…..
Right here.
I have been doing great🙂. I love everything AA it is about. But it just wasn’t really for me. I’m sure I’ll have a different perspective of it when I go back since I’m actually sober now.
me for sure…..but i soon want to try out AA to meet ppl in my area i know it could be very helpful but i’m loving this app connection with ppl everywhere it’s so awesome. keep pushing!!!
I do both but one thing I do is have several trustees (instead of one sponsor) that way I am the trustor,). Lol
Me!
To each is own we all support one another here.
Yep, that’s why I’m here too….to provide support to everyone struggling with alcoholism and addiction.
SMART Recovery is interesting. I use aspects of it, with AA.
I attend meetings mainly for the fellowship. However becoming a gym rat/Jesus freak and I think that is helping immensely.
