When I first finally stopped I had to do like 4 meetings a day for a while , I needed it and thank god I did
The meetings I went to when I first started my journey are no where near what they used to be so I stopped going and found meetings on zoom that fit into my schedule perfectly.

Sorry Cat fight broke out with my puppy n cat. What I was going to say was I’ve been sober 11 mths and have gone to four meetings only to pick up my chips as I had SO many multiples to 7 mths and want to complete a year. I personally dont need them. I enjoy a few of the topics but dont have a sponsor or friends there. I have a few acquaintances and former sponsors there but realized they’re not true friends. I journal, I pray and I see a therapists twice a mth and have a great supportive family that helps.
I do but I’m very selective about the face to face meeting I attend. Too many old timers attempting to 13 th step new comers. It makes me sick.

Twice a week… AA.
I also quit on my own and didn’t go for six months. It helps a lot, but it’s not what got me sober, it helps me stay sober
I go I think they’re great
Hi. I go to a zoom meeting everyday
Haven’t done inperson because of health issues
I go to meetings. It’s been my routine since the beginning and since it’s worked this long why stop? Working with and helping others is a big part of my recovery and keeps me out of myself.
I totally feel that, I’m actually going to start going again not just because of me but so I can give back and help others that were in the same boat I was in, I owe it for sure
Awesome Nancy
Gotcha, Yeah I’m going to start going for the purpose of helping others that need it, It saved my life
I find meetings very helpful. I thought I was the only alcoholic in the world
just me right. Going to meetings and seeing how big this really is helped me plus I have a great list of phone connections when I need them.
I go to on average 3 a week. 10 months sober now. I do two zoom, they are alumni meetings from the detox and treatment centers I went to after this relapse and I also have a home group called Broward Young Peoples which is amazing. We have an earlier meeting than most YP meetings, 6pm so we can all go out to eat together afterwards. A lot of young peoples meeting I've seen have great vibes and a great community and use WhatsApp as a group chat to fellowship when not in the meeting.
Wow that sounds awesome
I’d love to hear what you did after relapsing. I relapsed after 9yrs and been having such a hard time forgiving myself.
I tried them and found I was happier taking a mindfulness walk. Find what works best for you.
